Writer's picture: President TeamPresident Team

To spend a penny

e.g. Please wait for me outside, I’m just off to spend a penny.

To be quids in 這個術語在英國非常普遍,主要形容獲取利潤 (make a profit) 時。

e.g. He’ll be quids in if he could sell all his paintings by the end of today.

To haggle –

e.g. They haggle over the price of the car.
